“Corbracagh Downs” is a 100 acres scenic property at Gidgegannup WA about 50km east of Perth owned by Len and Jean Baxter. The property was named after the family’s farm in Northern Ireland, “Corbracagh” (Cor-brack-ee), dating back to the 1600s. Len is a Risk Management Consultant endeavouring to retire. Jean started breeding the alpacas some years ago and spins the fleece to make alpaca garments. She is also a potter and involved in art and dollmaking.
Our herd comprises Huacaya Alpacas, mostly white with a few coloured. It is such a pleasure breeding these unique animals as they have a way of bringing tranquillity to the farm. Breeding alpacas is truly a beautiful lifestyle.
Our business objective is to improving the overall quality of our alpacas. We are members of the Australian Alpaca Association Ltd.
Visitors are welcome at our farm.
